Oops, I forgot to include the reply to the last question:

10. Lowell from Phoenix: What 2 or 3 things would you include in a course on investing for retirement?

ROK02 gave the exact answer in post 63284. Allow me to plagiarize:

"...if you were given a choice of a car by a benevolent genie, and the stipulation was "it is the only car you can ever have in your lifetime" - you would choose it very carefully, and you would take care of it and maintain the various parts of the car to ensure that it would indeed still be of service to you when you got older.

Then, rather than exhort us to take care of our money investments, he said that we have only this physical body to live in for this lifetime, and we should start out by taking care of it - make sure that we maintain our bodies, eat a healthy diet, watch what we take on as habits that may be harmful."

My notes say you only get one body and one mind for life. Take good care of both. They are your most important assets.
