I am interested in opening a Roth IRA using the Foolish Four strategy but I am unsure of how to get started. I've been reading All About IRA's and attempted to follow link # 14 on how to open an IRA, but it referred me to a blank page. Any help on how to get started would be very much appreciated, as well as any suggestions on a specific brokerage for this type of strategy.

Thanks!

At the top of this page, right-click on "Managing Your Finances." Open it in a new window so you can jump between these instructions and that window.

Click on "<<Show me More" to see the alphabetically previous boards.

Click on "Discount Brokers." You are now in the Discount Brokers Board. We are going to read the last 20 messages to get a feel for what goes on here.

Click on the first message shown. At the time I did this, it was about 3 hours old.

After reading this message, click on "next" and keep reading until you get to the last message, where the "next" option will be grayed-out.

Now go to the bottom of the last message, and right-click on "Discount Brokerage Center" link to open that in a new window.

Come back to the Discount Brokers Board and click on the "Frequently Asked Questions" link, just below the previous link.

Read these screens and follow any interesting links from them.

General guideline - to trade Foolish Four, you are not a picky trader that cares about fatest possible execution nor about greatest possible research information. Any broker will probably work just fine.
