Announcement that the Pfizer Lipitor patents had been upheld came after the market closed today -- price up above $25 from about $22.50 in after hours trading.

What happens in this case with options that expire tomorrow? Can those contracts still be exercised?

Don't have any December calls myself, but just wondering how it works.
