Or we could allow administrators and teachers to qualify as the first line of defense by training them and certifying them in the same way law enforcement officers are trained and certified.

This is such a good idea I'm surprised no one else has brought it up.

Then, when the deranged move from schools to, say, shopping centers, we could have clerks at stores be certified and start carrying weapons. And then, when people realize those clerks have weapons and move to strip malls, we could get the people at the Dollar Store and the VIP Nail Salon to start packing guns.

Then we could do it at the libraries, playgrounds, sports events, and even churches! Yes, guns for all my friends! That's the answer!
