I ran the "office" bracket back when I worked. In my humble opinion, it is the best method.

whoever has the most points wins. the winner was very often not determined until the final game. And the point leader usually changed after every round.

Points are figured like this: Team seed (a number from 1 to 16), times the round they play in.

If you pick a number one seed to win its first two games...you can get one point for the first game (1 X 1) and two points for the second game (1 X 2)...for a grand total of 3.

If you picked the number 16 seed to pull major upsets and win its first two games, you could win 16 for the first game (16 X 1) and 32 for the second game (16 X 2) for a total of 48 points.

The number of points awarded in the championship will be (team's seeding number X 6)

This method is like Hendricks gin..once you try it, nothing else will satisfy

And no, I never wrote a spreadsheet program to keep track...I did it all with pencil and paper and a calculator. But one could write a program.
I have no idea why a casino has not picked up on this method.
A high score should earn you a place on next year's selection committee. I did track high scores, but sorry, I can't remember for beans just what those were. Blame the cheap gin when I couldn't afford Hendricks.
