"What are you doing here?"

Last week, our group was informed that we were being moved to work under a new manager, in a new reporting structure at corporate HQ.

One by one, we were each called to meet with the new manager, Manager X.

At my meeting, Manager X, exclaims "..glad to have you on board, we can certainly use you, but why are you here? You work on project Y, you're supposed to stay with your old manager!."

Me: "Umm, I'm here because you called a meeting with me. Thankyouverymuchgoodbye."

I returned to the old office where my former manager informed me that I no longer work for him either.

Ok, so I know I'm still with the company and I'm still getting paid, but I am stuck at the airport, unable to board until my ticket gets punched.

Maybe I should stay home and get paid?

It's a damn shame what they pay these people in exchange for all this poor execution.
