I need a little help with a question that has come up in a class I am taking. Here in Hawaii retirees do not need to pay income tax on pension, SS benefits etc. The forms don't even have the space for it. I am trying to argue that retirees SHOULD in fact pay since they make use of a lot of the same benefits as I do. Can any of you point to any valid arguments I may be able to dig up on the web to expand on my idea? Thanks a lot you guysand take care!-SeRRow-
