Here's hoping that someone here is a foodie trivia buff:I'm doing some research on late 19th century Boston and found a reference to an edible called a "spree." Haven't a clue what it is except that it is very easy to make, as there's reference to grabbing the ingredients out of the kitchen and cooking it over the parlor fire, because the stove fire had gone out.Anyone still have their great-grandmother's cookbook? Thanks,Susan
