Our builder insullates all of the outside walls of our home

Are you working with a custom builder (i.e. you already own the land, and are paying to have the house built), or is this a house that you have agreed to purchase when it's complete?

If its the former, why not just have them add the insulation you want? Then the builder will be responsible for all of the necessary building inspections on your insulation (and, more importantly, any failure to pass one).

If its the latter, are you sure that the builder will leave in any work that they haven't done?

Then again, maybe I'm way off base, as I just recently started following this board and don't know your whole story.
