Our credit was perfect up until the day we filed for BK and has been perfect since receiving our discharge. My wife and I both have a unsecured Capital One and Providian card that we use and pay off each month. I've also got an American Express card that I was lucky enough to keep through the BK.

About four months ago I was able to get a new car loan though VW Credit at 13.5%. I just recently sold the car because we decided it was better if we put the money in the bank to use towards a downpayment on a house.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you have to put down? I keep hearing that we'll need 20% down. I don't think we'll be able to come up with 20% by next year and it will probably be more like 2 years. Also, do you know what your credit score is?
