>> Back in May of this year, a dude by the name of David Olander in St Louis was perusing the produce at his local Schnucks grocery store, and noticed WITH HORROR that the asparagus was not being stored in a tray of water. David, who's a member of the city's human relations commission, said, "It was just sitting there dried out."

Gripping story so far, isn't it?

Anyway, David sought out an assistant manager in the store, and asked him a hardhitting question: Did the quality of the asparagus have any relationship to the store’s location in a black neighborhood? Because I don't know about you all, but when I see dried out produce in a grocery store, my first thought is ALWAYS that it's because of racism. /saracasm.
Schnucks maintains that its asparagus is displayed uniformly at all stores, and that on the day David visited, the tray of water had simply tipped over.

Huh. Who would have guessed in a million years that it would have been a matter of the water tipping over, when the far more obvious conclusion is RACISM, right? <<

It's getting old.
