I'm in the process of looking for a home, as many of you know. Right now, my wife and I are trying to put together a comprehensive list of "needs" and "wants", and we want to make sure that our list is as complete as possible. As first time homebuyers, it would be easy for us to overlook things, so I'm looking for suggestions.

For those of you who already have a home, I would appreciate (and rec) if you'd answer these questions:
(1) What features of your current home (or past homes) were not as important to you as you would have expected?
(2) What features are more important than you would have expected?
(3) If you could change anything about your current house, what would it be?
(4) If/when you buy another house, what will 3 of your top wants or needs be?
