My son is 6 and he had a standardized test in 1st grade 2-3 weeks ago. I don't recall if he had such in Kindergarten.Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. We met with the teacher during P/T conferences and she shared the results with my wife and I. I found it to be valuable insight into how he was performing in relation to his peers and if there was an area of concern (there was none), it would be nice to see it demonstrated in that format and it would give his mother and I something to focus on during any homework.Of course your mileage will vary based on how rigorous the testing used. My son certainly was not stressed out over it as the article stated was possible with some kids.
>my wife and I<OK, you have awakened the latent English teacher in me. I usually just hold my tongue, but this one really makes my ears hurt. It should be "my wife and me" in both instances.OK, I'm going back into my cave now.
