Pandit Ravi Shankar died yesterday. For those of you who aren't familiar with his work, he is best known in the West as the musician who brought Indian music to The Beatles, but he was so much more than just that. He was a brilliant master of his art - experimenting and playing with musicians around the world right up to the last.... - Gingko100 | Date: 12/12/2012 10:15:06 AM | Number: 869562

I was enjoying his recordings in the Fall of 1962 when I was an early admissions student at the University of Wisconsin. I was fifteen.
