Anyone using Pando (

It is a free service that requires you to load a client application. It works on the PC and the Mac. The facility allows you to send an email to someone indicating that you are sending them 1 or more files and that given the size limits on email you are doing so outside of the normal email protocol/process.

They receive a message in this inbox that has a like to the package you have sent. The files you sent can be cumulatively 1GB in size. The transport protocol is faster than SMTP in many cases so the transfer will generally be quicker. As the transfer is not happening in your mail system you are not backed up when it comes to sending or receiving other email messages.

I have used the service for a few weeks since reading a review on the Wall Street Journal. It seems to do exactly what it says and the price works for me.

I am a Mac user.
