Pardon my bluntness, but if all RE's were secure, they wouldn't have to react as you do. After all, many RE's were once "WL's". That's "Work-Lates." Former WL's should be able to relate to those still in the workplace on many levels. (False) superiority and one-upsmanship won't get us down the road of productive dialogue.
Not quite. There are a variety of folks who drop by here from time to time who have some "ideas" which they pretty adamement about preaching. These notions include: 1) Early retirement is incomprehensible because they love their jobs so much, 2) Early retirees are leeches on society, 3) And if you do anything at all during the day that might be considered work, you are not retired.
There are short answers for all of those. If you love your job, keeping working. If you don't understand what the word "retire" means crack open a dictionary. If you think retirees are leaches on society, then write your Congressman and get a law passed banning retirement. Easy peasy.
If after you've been given the short answer and you are still coming back for more, you pretty much fall into the "stupid" catagory (By "you" I don't you mean "you" personally, spl, I'm refering to people who can't understand short declaritive sentences).
Intercst got flamed pretty good for saying he was going to ignore one of these people who is too dim to understand simple words, but I'm with him. If you don't know how simple words are commonly used in English, or if you pretend not to know, then its pretty clear you don't have much to say (again, not you spl).

For the record, I'm still working.
