I read a post on Motley fool(by the Motley fool Gang) about why taxes are good and a Tax cut is not. I don't know how I can reply to it.

What I like to say to that author is...
All good and said , but I work for a living and I want to keep what I make and make it work for me.

When you ask people how much they make, most will give you what they earn as take home after taxes. Does this person realize that the goverment takes as much as 1/3 or more.... Wasn't this tax money ours in the first place? Microsoft made to much money and now the goverment, by saying there a monopoly, is forceing them to give up some...Isn't the goverment a monopoly??
Why shouldn't I get back what was mine in the first place? Your telling me I should feel good for the economys sake for donations from my paycheck to pay out to the goverment. Sorry I don't buy that. The goverment has to much waste and programs that are for making up more programs to keep goverment people busy. Enough is enough. I want the goverment to give back what is rightfully ours in the first place.

What is it going to be like, when the baby boomers are retirment age and social security has to support them. The next geration shouldn't be saddled with that finaiacial burden should they?

Wasn't that long ago the congress and all voted a raise in their paycheck. (wish I could tell my boss I just voted myself a raise)

Wish I could find that post on the fool again.
