I am a unoin cement mason and I have recently been promoted.
My delima is whether to switch to the office 401k or stay with my unoin benefits. Currently I am vested in the unoin pension program.
If I get out of the unoin program now I will recieve 1550 per month at the age of 65. If I continue with the unoin program this amount will increase by 225 for each additional year I work.
I don't know much about the 401k at work and don't know what to ask about it.
My insinct tells me to continue with the unoin program since it's a definite amount and has recently gone up.
Also I am maxing out my ira in the stock market, no mutal funds.
Any thoughts? Please help I don't even know where to begin.

Thanx in advance ,
Concrete girl
