People who are/were in the industry are more aware but not immune. Our interests evolve but our susceptibility never ends until we die.

Of course no one is immune to those things they are interested in. Just show me a commercial illustrating some yummy new coral-pink shade of nail polish and I will perk up and pay attention. I might not buy the product, but I will enjoy looking at it. And maybe....passing by a display stand in a drugstore...I will buy it. Or maybe I will go to eBay to see it.... and maybe I will pull the trigger.

I won't be buying beer.
I won't be buying Ensure.
I won't be buying a Chevrolet.
There are a ton of things they can advertise till their tongues turn blue and I won't be buying them. Ever. Because I am not their target market. I'm just not interested. See how it works?
