I have been purchasing I bonds on a monthly basis from the Savings Bonds Direct web site. The site has been wonky in the past, but in the last few days that I've been trying to use it it just *won't* complete a transaction - I can get all the way through until I press the "Pay" button, then after a lengthy wait the connection fails.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I like using the site to get my Discover cash back, but I'm so aggravated I'm about ready to enroll in the EasySaver plan instead. I was wondering if it's just that the site is problematic anyway, or if the events of the past week have impacted performance in some way.
