Flames be damned! I'm posting this. It's long and off topic, but I thought this story merited your review. The story follows in the next post.At times we get so wrapped in our personal lives and how well or poorly our stocks are doing that we forget our responsibilities we have to others. National leaders don't always set the proper example, but there are others even amongst the youngsters of generation X or Y who already KNOW leadership. This young man was willing to sacrifice his own life for the life of another. Leader? You bet. A hero? Absolutely! I read an email of an account of the incident from a senior officer onboard. George Will's words do not begin to touch the magnitude of this young man's valor. FYI, the Navy Marine Corps Medal is the highest award we can receive in peacetime. So, when you're feeling a little selfish or it's a "woe is me" day, step back and ask yourself, "What sort of an example am I setting for others?"Fair Winds,Carl
