Personally I don't own one but I've always been fascinated by them. They did have some fairly serious flaws in the design of the body. The acrylic used almost always cracked and there were problems with the doors. The safety standards however were state of the art for that time. The car had every safety feature well above the required and many that met the requirements 10 years down the line. It was also a beautiful car, at least in my opinion. As for a engine specs, I don't know. From what I've read the engine was a hodge podge of different parts that Malcolm Bricklin got from some of the bigger auto makers but a hodge podge none the less. The story behind it I think is almost more interesting than the car itself.
