Personally, I'm holding out to win the AOPA Bonanza. Hey wait, did they already have the drawing???

Hey, that's MY plane!

Actually, in Ron Wanttaja's book he describes someone who won the AOPA plane several years ago. They ended up with a huge tax bill, but stuck with it and still are flying the plane today.

Also, interestingly enough, we had a chance to buy a B35 v-tail bonanza earlier this year. My wife's grampa owned it from 1953 through about 1973 and when he died last year we got his airplane papers, and one of them was the official POH. I got in touch with the current owner to return it so the plane would be officially legal, and found out he was thinking about selling it. Subsequent research let me to believe we couldn't afford it at any price---the American Bonanza Society says to budget $80-100/hr for maintenance alone!
