Peterson may be just a lousy fisher and not have a clue about catching sturgeon yet he cannot be so clueless as to what a sturgeon is: much larger and more active than a bass and needs commensurate tackle.

There is that, but for me, it's that the weather sucked; one would have to be really hardcore and knowledgable to brave the cold weather (I was jogging in sweats AND windbreaker all 4 mornings I was there, from the 22nd thru the 26th), and a guy that hardcore would, at least, buy bait.

We've all known the excitement of a new boat.... the kind where you just have to launch and run it around a bit, but you bring someone to share in the excitement. And if you intend to fish for sturgeon, you buy bait.

I have a queasy feeling the jury won't understand that Scott Petersons 'fishing trip' doesn't hold water.
