Okay, let me say at the outset, I KNOW this is petty. On the other hand...
I love oreos. Yes I know they're made by a tobacco company, so I try to resist but... My company believes in keeping us stocked in chocolate and sugar (bless them). So todays treat are Hallowe'en Oreos. You know, the kind where they tint the sugar/crisco mix in the middle orange. So I look at one of the chocolatey cookies and am dismayed to see a witch flying across the cookie. Fortunately they put cats, jack o' lanterns, and ghosts on others.
Why am I upset? Well, imagine that they put Jesus on the cross on their Easter Oreos. Of course they would never do that because Christians would be upset, and rightly so. But they think nothing of continuing the myth of the ugly witch taking to the hallowe'en sky. Trust me, this is one of wicca's major events. We have WAY better things to do on Samhain (Hallowe'en).
I'm going to complain to Nabisco. I don't expect it to do any good but...
