Phil- We can spend the holidays with the rest of her family. He no longer associates with the 3rd sibling or either parent. We've long since moved past hoping to repair any relationships, if that's what you mean. We just want some money out of the filthy bastard.

As far as paperwork, she has been documenting all house-related payments that she makes. I know I am severely biased, but I don't see how any judge could side with him. He walked away from his responsibility and has openly stated that he is willing to let the house go into foreclosure, despite the fact that he has more than sufficient funds. His major complaints against her/us are that we were too loud and didn't do a good enough job painting our living room.

Just for the record, I told her this was a bad idea from the beginning. Unfortunately, we were going through a somewhat rocky period in our relationship at the time, and she had much regard for her brother's opinion. I have refrained from telling her "I told you so", as I don't see how rubbing it in her face would solve anything, except for earning me an an all-expense paid, month vacation to the couch.
