Does anyone know what government agency regulates phone services & how I might contact them? I am having a terrible time trying to straighten out a $62.10 long distance billing error. For 5 days in August a local number used to connect my Internet Provider was billed as a long distance. Prior to the 5 days and afterwards, the number is billed as a local call. The local phone service says it is not their problem and the long distance company says the error is not their fault. I am left in the middle with an unpaid bill and the risk of receiving a bad credit report. Any suggestions on how I might correct this problem?I am also looking for the names of the head of Verizon and ATT so that I may contact them.
