Please keep up the Credit cards Bill of Rights!!!!!Even if it's not passed into law, get it passed out as required reading for teens and college students. If someone had shown me that kind of list when I started college and explained what kind of tricks and small print there is (and how much it would cost me) I might not be where I am now. It's unbelievable what some companies will do. I was charged an over the limit fee 3months in a row for going over my limit 1 time! The second month, my account was $5 over the limit AFTER they added a $25 fee, and the third month my ending balance was about $50 UNDER the limit, but I still got an over the limit fee. The last person I spoke with finally told me that no matter how much you pay, they will add on the fee because the balance brought forward was over the limit. After several calls and complaints I got the fees refunded, (but I'm sure they didn't refund the interest charged from the time they were on my account!) I'd love to see the companies abide by these kinds of rules on their own, but that's too far out even for sci-fi fantasy!!!!If we can't get the companies to change, maybe getting more people to realize what is in the fine print before they sign will at least save a few people the pain and agony of credit card debt. While you're at it, do you think we can do anything about the hold times? The company that gave me the 3 late fees also kept me on hold for at least 20-30 minutes each time I called.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!wsw
