For stock market investors, new home developers had quite a run as growth stocks until the big crash.

Some like Toll Brothers are telling us the market has bottomed and is starting to recover.

For stock investors, it could be a good time to buy or accumulate.

You would also think reits would be taking advantage of low prices and foreclosures to accumulate a portfolio--probably of residential rental units for now, but eventually for sale at a profit.

The poll is subject to so much interpretation as to be meaningless. There are some real-estate area where investing would be profitable. There are others that will not return the cost of money in the next 100 years. If you are trying to get a read on the area who not include some information -- little things like how much money have you to invest? What is your time frame? Are you going to be a passive investor? In an active investor would that include property management? being a landlord?

And the list goes on
