Does anyone know of a (hopefully free) portfolio backtesting tool? All I can find are things to analyze technical strategies, which is NOT what I want. I don't care how this or that MACD trading strategy would have worked over some time frame, what I want is to be able to construct a fantasy portfolio of x shares of ABC, y shares of DEF, z shares of GHI, etc, and see how that portfolio would have performed over some time frame. Preferably something with an option to rebalance at a given interval. So far the best I've been able to come up with is just making a fantasy portfolio in google finance, but it's tedious to look up historical prices for everything and input each piece of data manually.
