I'm a fan of very powerful red wines, the type that you can almost chew on. I thought I'd pass along a few suggestions, all from California:Ridge: A great winery near Cupertino, California. They make excellent hewvy-duty zinfandels. They also sometimes make a fabulous late-picked zinfandel that is better than port. MacRostie: Excellent reds.Shafer: DittoBonnie Doon: They make lots of different wines, and are pretty experimental in their approach. Try their "Cigar Volante," which features a label with a typical wine-chateau scene except that there's a flying saucer in the sky.-Sazi
