Here we go again. The SuperQaeda is up to over $150 million, and the hordes are piling into Education Al Qaeda bases trying their best to buy a ticket for the SuperQaeda (a k a the Powerball LOOTtery).

Thinking about what to write this time, I think to watching CNBC's Jim Cramer and the popular "Mad Money" programme to think about it.

I can have a pair of Powerball ticket sitting on the chair at the commencement of the Lightning Round.

I could show how bad it was by discussing the stupidity of the lottery, and then pressing the "Don't Buy" button.

I could explain that investing in Scientific Games is better than the lottery itself, pressing a bull button.

But in all essence, all of these show that a scheme where more than half the money goes to pay out prizes and less than a third goes for the main goals is a bad investment overall.
