I think this is quite an interesting topic and would like to hear what the reasonable folks here think about it.

Predestination?

1> God is omnipotent, omniscient, all-good, all-loving, etc.
2> Perhaps one of the greatest mysteries for all mankind: God creates man for reasons truly known only to Him, though we have our speculations.
3> As far as our minds are capable of reasoning, God cannot do anything that is logically impossible. I.E., He can't make a round square or a rock too big for Him to lift.
4> So logically, God had a choice: 1) Make a race of beings that can only choose to do "Good," therefore lacking Free Will and incapable of loving and being self-aware or 2) Make a race of being that is self-aware, can love, has Free Will and thus can choose to do good OR evil.

Everything i "know" about the universe and feel within me indicates that God chose the latter. If we don't have Free Will and thus the power to choose good or evil, then everything we do is controlled by God, He bears responsibility for all that we do, and our lives have no meaning. If, on the other hand, the choice is ours, then our lives have meaning, we bear the responsibility for our own actions, and we are horribly off-base when we blame God for the bad things that happen in the world.
