I'm a pretty bad procrastinator (or maybe a really good one?) and I've always blamed tv as the culprit. Most of my tv watching consists of HGTV and Discovery Health with an occasion Food Network show thrown in, but it still consumed too much of my time. So back in November I went on a boob tube diet. I cut out watching tv during the week and severely cut back on the weekends though I think I made exceptions for Suze Orman & TAR. I did watch much less tv, but not much else changed. Things that needed to get done still didn't get done. Things I thought I wanted to do I still didn't do. Some nights I sat on the floor of my living room in silence. Most nights I went straight to bed. There were many things I had planned to do, but I'm not sure why I never found the motivation to do them. Since I wasn't doing anything productive with my free time anyway, I figured I might as well go back to watching tv. Even though I haven't pinpointed the reason for my lack of motivation, I'm going to attempt another tv diet next month. Hopefully American Idol will suck again this season so that'll free up a lot of time for me to focus on my problem.
