|The Fool:||What's the best restaurant you've ever been to? (Include name, location, and average bill for two.)|
Al Forno, on the Waterfront in Providence, RI. Be prepared to wait, because they don't take reservations, and the food is sensational. At least it was when I was there 10 years ago. As I recall, we left our name and took a walk along the waterfront for about an hour.
Average bill for two is probably about $50, I'm guessing.
|The Fool:||What's the best product you use that most people don't know about?|
|FoolishinVermont:||I'm going with the first thing that popped into my head, which is Cape Cod Metal Polish. Seriously. This is really a professional endorsement because MountainMan is a professional coppersmith, and I get to do LOTS of polishing.|
|The Fool:||Briefly explain how you select stocks.|
|FoolishinVermont:||Right now, I'm big into the Foolish Four. I've done the "ready, fire, aim," approach and lost 25% in 8 months. At this point, I'm in the learning phase, so my choices are hypothetical.|
|The Fool:||What, in your opinion, are some of life's big mysteries?|
|FoolishinVermont:||The whole Clinton administration is pretty baffling, I'd say.|
|The Fool:||Which celebrity or public figure (past or present) do you most look like?|
|FoolishinVermont:||I've been told I look like Dianne Keaton|
|The Fool:||Tell us about Your Dumbest Investment... and the lesson you learned from it.|
|FoolishinVermont:||Already wrote about that one in a previous life. Let's just say it involved pyramids and jail time (for the Wise, not for me).|
|The Fool:||Does ethics or 'socially responsible investing' have a place in your investment approach? How so? How not?|
|FoolishinVermont:||I think we all make value judgments about what we invest in. If I'm not using a mechanical model (Honestly, I'm not always thrilled with the choices offered in the Foolish Four), then I definitely have a bias about certain companies.|
|The Fool:||List some of your favorite websites, with running commentary where appropriate. (Please provide the URLs, too.)|
Some of the most exquisite copper and brasswork anywhere, all created by my MountainMan.
