The Fool: Okay you have been asked onto Desert Island Discs what 8 records, one book and a luxury item do you take with you?
JamesFax: Morcheeba (first album); The Jacksons (With Rockin Robin); Queen Greatest Hits Vol1; Diana Krall (All For You); Journeys Through DJ's DJ Rap; Bob Marley Songs of Freedom disc three; The Strokes (Is This It?); Garbage (V2.0). The complete works of Shakespeare. My Dr. Martin sandals. Hmmm, that took less consideration that I expected.
The Fool: Have you had a brush with fame, the proverbial '15 minutes'? Tell us about it.
JamesFax: Well, yeah, ages ago. Booring.
The Fool: Tell us about your greatest personal success, not necessarily finance related.
JamesFax: Becoming comfortable with myself, my family, my friends, mortality (yes!), my political compass.
The Fool: Tell us about your worst investment... and the lesson you learned from it.
JamesFax: Hahahaha. Small numbers: NXT. Worst because I pulled it out of HOF after confusing myself over 'research' on HOF. Bought on froth. Still hold to punish myself.

Not at all impressed with property prices. Even when I bought in late '98. Am exasperated at current 'valuation'.
The Fool: What's the best restaurant you've ever been to? (Include name, location, and average bill for two.)
JamesFax: Rick Stein's in Padstow. Best as in probably the 'classiest' or 'extreme-dining'. Food was definitely beyond good, almost surrealy-different. Great environment. Padstow is, unfortunately, more like a fun-fare now, almost circus-like in it's commercialism -- often dubbed "PadStein" since there are fewer and fewer shops indepedent of or unbranded by the Stein-Empire. Lunch with the best (taste sensation) desert in the world: One hundrend and twenty for two (Sept 2003) inc. 1 bottle house white, three courses. Offers include "tasting menu".

Can't beat Al's Tikka Grill around the corner in Ashton Gate Bristol. Ten-ish quid a head (2004 prices) for great sweet-rather than hot allways consistent food. Don't get too dressed up.
The Fool: Give a short description of your best and/or worst holiday.
JamesFax: Calcutta. Was meant to be a fortnight break from work with two days presenting at a conference. Had to accept my miniscularity in the torrent of things that go on, and my 'power to judge'.
The Fool: What's your greatest athletic achievement? Striker for your school Football team? Ran a marathon? Walked all the way home from the pub?
JamesFax: Swam a length (33m) of butterfly, confidently, powerfully within two months back in the pool after nearly ten years out of it.
The Fool: What's been your best investment to date and how did you discover it?
JamesFax: Books from the secondhad bookshop down the road. Can I name it? Circle books. Hours and hours of entertainment, enrichment and amusement.
The Fool: List some of your favourite websites, with running commentary where appropriate. (Please provide the URLs, too.)
JamesFax: http://www.penny-arcade.com comic strip by humourous gamers that can draw.
http://www.google.co.uk just finds the stuff you want.
The Fool: If you would like to list the companies in which you hold shares, do it here. If not just say no.
JamesFax: Banks, Food producers, Chemicals, Automotive, Electronics. Shares & Options in semiconductor firm (new employer).
