The Fool: What on Wall Street today is most suited for reform?
TMFBogey: The compensation structure and the total lack of oversight of....ANYTHING!
The Fool: What was the most significant discovery of the last century?
TMFBogey: I don't know which was the most significant, but I think mass transportation, antibiotics, and the personal computer have to be the top 3.
The Fool: What do you fear most?
TMFBogey: Heights. - No, I'm not going flying with you!
The Fool: What is your favorite techno gadget?
TMFBogey: I have lots of favorite toys. iPhone, Slingbox, and MyVue glasses for watching big screen TV on the plane!
The Fool: What's your greatest athletic achievement? Little League champ? Ran a marathon? Did 4 consecutive sit-ups?
TMFBogey: When I was in Little League, I threw a perfect game against Mast Construction in the playoffs after having been snubbed by the coaches in the All-Star selections. Bet they were sorry they passed me up, huh? I'm not bitter about this at all. Seriously.
The Fool: What's the best restaurant you've ever been to? (Include name and location!)
TMFBogey: Probably the Inn at Little Washington, here in Virginia. Very pricey, but an overall amazing dining experience. Also up there is the Japanese restaurant at the top of the Crown Casino in Macau - Tenmasa.
The Fool: Is there someone to whom you'd like to say 'Thank You,' but never really had the chance?
TMFBogey: Dr. Alan Rote. Too long a story, but he's totally the man. I never had a chance to thank him though. Maybe I'll drop him a line.....
The Fool: If given a second chance, what financial decision would you have made differently?
TMFBogey: Like so many other people, I was seduced by all the easy offers for credit cards when I was in college. I had about 5 or 6 of them and ended up (on top of student loans) about $6,000 in debt. It was a nightmare. I wish I could go back in time and NOT get all those cards. A must read is the Fool's credit card area: http://www.fool.com/Credit/Credit.htm
The Fool: What's the most overrated idea, person, or event in our culture?
TMFBogey: Asian flu, SARS, mad cow, etc. I mean, what are the chances any of us are going to get one of these diseases? The hype is incredible, the delivery is...[cough]...[cough]...HELP!
