| The Fool: | What's your favorite activity (within the realm of good taste)? |
| TMFCentaur: |
Watching baseball at the ballpark... there nothing more relaxing than that. |
| The Fool: | Does ethics or 'socially responsible investing' have a place in your investment approach? How so? How not? |
| TMFCentaur: |
I expect companies that I invest in to be honest in terms of presenting financial results. If I have any doubts on this point, I won't invest in the company. Other than that, I invest in companies that interest me and that make products that I like, use, or wouldn't mind seeing more people using. |
| The Fool: | What's your biggest pet peeve? |
| TMFCentaur: |
Spammers on the message boards who try to frighten people out of their stocks with messages like: It's going DOWN, DOWN, see you in the SINGLE DIGITS, GET OUT NOW, yada yada yada. |
| The Fool: | What's been your best investment to date, and how did you discover it? |
| TMFCentaur: |
My best investment to date was AOL, which I bought in October of 1998. I had discovered it long before, but I was lucky that the big Asian-contagion selloff came when I was intensively learning about investing. It was a great buying opportunity, and I am happy that I had the sense to see it. |
| The Fool: | Do you have a favorite company or stock which the worldwide Foolish community should know about -- and why? |
| TMFCentaur: |
Sure, and I hope to bring them to Fools everywhere in my role as Rule Maker contributor and Premium Research analyst. |
