The Fool: If you could be the CEO of any public company, which one and why?
abhyasi: Worthington Foods (WFDS), the market leader in meat-alternatives, making it easier for American vegetarians to exist. Of course with the Kelloggs acquisition I'd be working for Tony the Tiger, but that's still Grrreat.
The Fool: What's one of your special talents?
abhyasi: I can cut paper with my bare elbows.
The Fool: Give a short description of your best and/or worst vacation.
abhyasi: Best: 3 weeks in India, meditating with my Guru at his Ashram, touring the Himalayas.

Worst: 3 weeks in India, boiling in Madras, freezing in the Himalayas.
The Fool: Share with us your best money-saving secret -- cutting coupons, sneaking candy into the movies, shopping on Wednesday and pretending you're over 65?
abhyasi: Buy unfinished furniture and finish it yourself. It's much cheaper, your home will look consistent, and you'll get a nagging feeling of pride in your work.
The Fool: Describe your fitness program.
abhyasi: Drink lots of French-pressed coffee and eat too many homemade oatmeal cookies. Feel lethargic as a result, and go for a 5 mile bike ride. Feel sick, and vow not to drink and eat as much in the future. Rinse and repeat.
The Fool: What industry do you follow most closely and why?
abhyasi: The industrious work of the Mechanical Investing board, because I'm way too emotional to buy stocks based on my own industry evaluations.
The Fool: What's been your best investment to date, and how did you discover it?
abhyasi: My 45K student loan with a horrible interest rate. I took the loan out to pay for an over-priced private college, naive of the long-term impact it would have on my life. Nearly defaulting on it, I had to expend a lot of effort to rework nearly every aspect of my personal finances. If it wasn't for the hindrance of this loan, I may never have been motivated enough to wake up to Full Foolishness.
The Fool: Do you have a favorite company or stock which the worldwide Foolish community should know about -- and why?
abhyasi: "Dean's Beans" is a very small privately-held coffee bean distributor in the Amherst, MA area. Their product generates intense customer loyalty; a good bet if they ever go public.
The Fool: List some of your favorite websites, with running commentary where appropriate. (Please provide the URLs, too.)
abhyasi: The MI backtest sites at http://www.gritton.org/ws/ and http://www.phillysites.com/screens/backtest.asp are unbelievably incredible resources if you're into bactesting mechanical stock screens. The Retire Early Homepage at http://www.geocities.com/WallStreet/8257/reindex.html is also great if your IRA is going through the roof these days.

http://www.srcm.org/ is an excellent site on practical, effective heart-centered raja yoga.

http://www.math.lsa.umich.edu/~grabiner/manifesto.txt is a great take on Sabermetrics - the search for objective knowledge about baseball.
