The Fool: What, in your opinion, are some of life's big mysteries?
herkerlurker: The infinite continuum of space; Why some people refuse to see that everything else on earth was not put here just for humans to use and discard; The joke that goes with the punchline, "So the duck says to the nun, 'No thanks, I'll get it myself'"; What retsin is made of, and why it freshens the breath.
The Fool: Tell us about Your Dumbest Investment... and the lesson you learned from it.
herkerlurker: Universal life insurance policies. 'Nuff said.
The Fool: If you could be the CEO of any public company, which one and why?
herkerlurker: Couldn't do it. I don't have the proper mentality for CEO-dom. I like to laugh and have a life outside of work entirely too much.
The Fool: If you had to pick an existing song title that best describes your life, what would it be?
herkerlurker: Gringo Honeymoon - Robert Earl Keene
The Fool: What's been your best investment to date, and how did you discover it?
herkerlurker: AMGN - up about 350% in two years. They advertise on NPR, which once did a story on them, concluding with the statement that AMGN's stock price was at a five year low. I looked into the company, liked what I saw & bought during the October '97 dip.
The Fool: Do you have a favorite company or stock which the worldwide Foolish community should know about -- and why?
herkerlurker: My favorite stock is a nice turkey reduction - almost a demiglace. The stuff is so versatile. You can make soups, stews, and it's a great way to add richness to your enchiladas, too.
The Fool: List some of your favorite websites, with running commentary where appropriate. (Please provide the URLs, too.)
herkerlurker: http://cartalk.cars.com/ Everyone should take the Car-O-scope quiz. The daily dollop of didactic diversion ain't bad, either.
