The Fool: What's your greatest athletic achievement? Little League champ? Ran a marathon? Did 4 consecutive sit-ups?
tmfsynchronicity: I once walked 40 miles in one day. I was in a bad mood and just started walking. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time.
The Fool: If you could change one thing about your workplace, corporate culture, or family life, what would it be?
tmfsynchronicity: My day job does not allow casual dress, ever. I hate the suit and tie thing.
The Fool: Make a confession.
tmfsynchronicity: I worry about any "appearances of impropriety" with anything we do here at TMF. We hold the rest of the financial world to a high standard, it's our duty to hold ourselves to an even higher one. Tough job, but someone's gotta do it, right?

We're not perfect, but we're getting there.
The Fool: If you could be any comic book superhero, which would you be and why?
tmfsynchronicity: Cerebus the Aardvark. If you have to ask...
The Fool: Which celebrity or public figure (past or present) do you most look like?
tmfsynchronicity: Look? Don't know. But reliable sources have told me that when I sing "Mercedes Benz", I SOUND exactly like Janis Joplin.

Don't know if that's a compliment or an insult.
The Fool: What's the one thing you'd MOST like to see The Motley Fool add to our service or improve upon?
tmfsynchronicity: Continue to improve the layout and navigation to make it as easy as possible for newcomers to find information. I know it's tough, but it's well worth it.

Also, talk even more about the saving and risk management sides of successful investing. Too many people think investing is all about good stock-picking. At TMF we can teach people that it's much more than that. Stocks can go against you, but good saving and risk management habits serve people well in all markets.
The Fool: What's your favorite movie, and why?
tmfsynchronicity: Apocalypse Now & Pulp Fiction. See my non TMF profile for the rest of that quote.

In fact, see my non-TMF profile for a whole bunch of stuff
The Fool: Share with us your best money-saving secret -- cutting coupons, sneaking candy into the movies, shopping on Wednesday and pretending you're over 65?
tmfsynchronicity: Buy on sale. Buy in bulk.
The Fool: What has been your best work experience, and what made it so great?
tmfsynchronicity: Working for the Fool. It's fun, it's convenient (working from home), it makes a difference in people's lives, and I get feedback from my fellow fools. It don't get much better than this.
The Fool: Tell us about your greatest personal success, not necessarily finance related.
tmfsynchronicity: I lost 35 pounds from January 2000 thru October 2000. Just in time for my wedding (October 22, 2000). Convincing my wife to marry me may be my greatest success.
The Fool: What's been your best investment to date, and how did you discover it?
tmfsynchronicity: In February '98 I picked up a copy of The Motley Fool Investment Guide. Look what's happened since!
The Fool: List some of your favorite websites, with running commentary where appropriate. (Please provide the URLs, too.)
tmfsynchronicity: http://werehosed.editthispage.com/ I just like it.
www.bestbookbuys.com -- choose from nearly 30 online booksellers, get your book cheap. (Yeah, they list several cheaper than Amazon. Shh, don't tell the head Fools, OK?)
The Fool: Do you have a favorite company or stock which the worldwide Foolish community should know about -- and why?
tmfsynchronicity: Ikea. I love their stores. You want decent, inexpensive furnishings that are stylish, go there. Their store here in Chicago is mobbed all the time.

Crate & Barrel's great, too, but they're pricier.
