The Fool: Does ethics or 'socially responsible investing' have a place in your investment approach? How so? How not?
warrenlynch: No, why limit yourself? It's an investment, not a marriage. You could always invest the profits in some venture opposing what would not fall under the catagorey of a "social responsible investment".Invest in cigarette companies, take the profit, and invest in lung cancer research.
The Fool: Who's the meanest person you've ever met? What was so mean about 'em?
warrenlynch: Tim M, he loved to fistfight.I never fought him,but took a lot of crap from him.Last I saw him,he was hanging out with the younger guys,he lost all the friends his own age. He's probably still standing on that same street corner. As a side note,he was shot in the butt on a drive by LOL!
The Fool: What is your favorite techno gadget?
warrenlynch: Motif ES synthisiser,Fender Cyber twin (amp),Line 6 Variax (guitar),Line 6 XTLive (guitar processor),Helicon VoiceWorks (vocal harmonizer),Korg D1600MKII,Roland DR-880 (drum machine),digidisign 002 rack for Pro Tools
The Fool: Tell us a joke (bear in mind this is a family site.)
warrenlynch: There are boards for this type of thing.
The Fool: Your greatest fear? Any neurotic ones (agoraphobia, triskaidekaphobia, etc.)?
warrenlynch: Alone in the woods (deep woods) in total darkness.I naturally have a pretty keen sense of hearing. In the woods without light, even more so.I can hear a angel fart.
The Fool: What other financial products or services do you use?
warrenlynch: Cash and credit cards.
The Fool: What's been your best investment to date, and how did you discover it?
warrenlynch: Reading hundreds of books on investing. If I don't know the answer off the top of my head,I can usually find it without going online.
The Fool: Do you have a favorite company or stock which the worldwide Foolish community should know about -- and why?
warrenlynch: No!"Do your own research" shall be the whole of the law.Don't ever take any recomondations from anyone...especially anyone online! They're not losing any money by telling you what to buy,and you'll probably never see them face to face anyway. There are a lot of 'online' stock gurus out there.BTW,they usually won't be around to tell you when to sell if you do decided to buy.
