Public Service Electric and Gas, the electric and gas utility in much of central NJ is also a leader in solar energy. Check out their web page for details--http://www.pseg.com/family/pseandg/solar4all/FAQ.jspThey have solar farms in Florida and Ohio, and now have programs that will install locally produced solar panels on utility poles. 40 megawatts to be installed in year or two.They also have a program to finance installation of solar panels on customer sites.This looks like a proactive approach. More utilities should do likewise.
