Pyramid is my favorite local brew. I live in Oakland, down the road. My local tavern has DPA on tap and its okay, but Pyramid's IPA (India Pale Ale for you non-guzzle beaks) is one of the best around. They talk about bottling it someday soon. Smooth and with a slightly "hoppy" character as befits a fine IPA of around 9% alcohol. That's at the Berkeley brewery. In the bottle it'll probably be less kickass, like Moylan's or Marin's or Lagunita's IPA. Pyramid has a much better distribution network than the last three. Pyramid PA and all their seasonal brews are at Lucky's and Safeway. Oregon Brewing Co. makes a very decent IPA that is sold in the major supermarkets. I don't know if its traded publically.
