Good afternoon, Reuters reported AnnTaylor Stores said today its same-store sales were down 0.3 percent in December compared with a 0.9 percent increase in the same period the previous year, due to pricing markdowns and harsh winter weather. The company also said its fourth-quarter same-store sales will be in the low, negative single digits, and that earnings for the fourth quarter will miss research firm First Call/Thomson Financial analysts' estimates. The retailer said it would earn in the lower range of 38 cents to 42 a diluted share, versus First Call's 45-cent estimate.
