Before i go digging around for this info, i thought i'd ask my friendly Elves about this...

Concerning charitably-sponsored events (such as luncheons or 5Ks or walks), where can one find out how much went to the charitable organization? This may or may not be different than what was "raised" - curious to know how costs of admin and supplies are factored in, as well as the effects donors/sponsors have on the bottom line. (e.g. donated t-shirts, water, power bars/drinks, fruits, etc.)

For example, how can i find out how much money was actually donated to the Komen Foundation by last Sunday's Danskin Women's Only Triathlon in Seattle?
