Is it accurate to say that Republicans want to raise funding for the food stamp program by 57% while the Democrats want to raise funding by 65%? If so, how does that make Republicans the party that wants to keep people hungry? Is it also true that Democrats are upset about some of the provisions of the bill requiring things like people who have substantial lottery or gambling winnings to be taken off the program?I'm just asking but it seems that the narrative is a bit out of whack on this one if the above is true.Calabogie
