Hello

My wife is changing jobs and we have decided to rollover her 401K earnings into a self-directed IRA with a discount broker.We will purchase individual stocks within the IRA.My question is can we buy and sell stocks within the IRA without tax implications and can we use a portion of the earnings within the IRA to cover trading costs without incurring a tax penalty ???

If anyone has any thoughts on this,I would certainly appreciate their feedback.
