I just installed Quicken 2000 on a fresh reinstall of
Win NT4 + service pack 6a + IE5.0. Quicken works ok
as far as i am logged in as an administrator. However
when i log in as an arbitrary user the sound is off.
I had this problem also with Quicken 98 but that was
after I installed several other junk applications
on my machine - that' why I reinstalled everything
from scratch - did not preserve anything. The Quicken
works fine except the sound being off - it's just
annoying - so this time I called Quicken (even paid
for me - a fool :-) - THis is the exzct answer I got

"... Quicken can have issues on NT if it's not run
as an administrator ..."

Now let me get this - Quicken claims that it's
compatible with NT4 - a multiuser multitasking OS.
So in order to allow users to use Quicken they need
to log in as administrators - great.

Anybody with a similar problems on NT ???
