"I can hardly wrap my head around the waste. You manage to spend 14k a month? What on earth are you spending it on? This just boggles the mind."

I can think of several retirement life-style activities that could easily consume $14,000/month. Combine a few of the following in addition to "normal" retirement living expenses:

- Own, maintain and regularly fly a Beechcraft Baron 56TC
- Own, sail and store a 60' Cruiser sail boat
- Private golf club membership
- Second home on the coast with an ocean view
- Own, use and store a 44' Monaco Dynasty motorhome
- Season tickets for 2 for the Seahawks and Mariners
- Entertain regularly
- Have 12 grandchildren
